Day Trip - Yarra Valley Winery Tour
A short one hour drive from Melbourne city, liwa one of Australia’s premier wine growing districts, the ‘Yarra’. The beautiful rolling hills produce not only excellent wines but also some Victoria’s best produce including cheese, honey, chocolate, award winning Salmon and of course award winning wines.
This rich agricultural land produces some fine wines, the region is particularly famed for its Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc but there are many other varieties to taste including; Pinot Gris, Riesling, Viognier, Gewürztraminer, Marsanne, Rousanne and Verduzzo and that’s just the whites. Reds include Pinot Noir, Cabernet Savignon and Shiraz but also Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo.
Don’t miss an opportunity to taste these varieties and compare them with other regions. Your tour will take in some of the best the region has to offer including smaller and boutique wineries.
The Yarra Valley Tour company has been established since 1992 and will ensure you see the best of this beautiful region and taste some of the premium wines.
Your tour will start with a hotel pick at 9.15am via a comfortable mini bus (maximum 11 people) and visit up to 4-5 wineries included is a delicious lunch.
Price per person $135 Melbourne CBD (Return to hotel approximately 5.00pm) with a souvenir or two I’m sure! Price includes: Transportation, lunch, glass of wine, coffee or tea and a number of food tastings.
Some pick up areas need to be discussed and prices confirmed.
